So what are we going to discuss today?

We're going to clear the dead weight, we're going to strengthen the domain health, we're going to optimize the campaign segments and I'm going to show you a final check before Q4 starts.

So in reality, more emails doesn't equal more results.

You're paying for profiles that never even open up your emails, so make sure to cut them loose.

so in the first stage we're going to take a look at clearing the dead weight.

So why does this matter?

Unengaged profiles ruin your open rate.

And And if your open rate is is ruined, then your emails will end up in a spam inbox.

And that of course is the last thing you actually want.

The emails will be classified as spam and therefore the results for email marketing will be less and less.

And also the third and final point, it's also a waste of budget on dead weight because in Klaviyo, you're paying for the active profiles that you have in your account.

And if you don't remove these active profiles within your Klaviyo account, you will pay more and more.

that's of course not what you want.

So here's what, what to do.

Make sure to create an unengaged segment.

So how do you do that?

Make sure to create a segment with the following rules.

so has received email 5 times over all time, but hasn't opened an email 0 times since all time.

So that's actually how you create it.

Then once you've created this segment, make sure to suppress it or remove it from your active profiles.

So here's a quick insight.

If they haven't opened the last five emails, emails, trust me, they aren't going to open up the six ones.

So make sure to remove them from your account.

And as you might understand, Q4 is not the time to get flagged flagged flagged for spam.

So that's why we really need to strengthen our domain.

So how can we do that?

First we're going to check the following points.

So how do you do that?

Within Klaviyo you have option to add a branded sending domain.

Make sure to add these records to your domain and then your domain will be fully verified.

and then the second point is the Klaviyo smart sending activated.

So make sure when you send not really like important campaigns, make sure to add smart sending to that campaign.

And also make sure to to use smart sending wisely within your flows.

And then the third one is make sure that you have a consistent sender name and also a sender domain.

Make sure to use the same domain that you have added as your branded sending domain.

and then the chances of of landing in a spamming box will actually be reduced.

Also make sure to avoid spammy subject line.

so make sure to don't use in capitals like discount or something.

That's the last thing that that you actually want because because then you also will be flagged as spam.

Then the fifth one is filter out the bounces or unengaged profiles.

Make sure to not send to any unengaged profiles because that will actually harm your sending reputation.

and then the last one, make sure that your email open rate is above 20%.

So you actually want to exclude these from promos because let's say someone bought something today and within like two weeks to see like a big one plus one free offer.
